Privacy Policy
This policy explains how MsgMatrix (“we”) handles personal information when you use msgmatrix.com, the MsgMatrix panel, and the Instagram automation tools connected to them (the “Service”). If you use the Service for a business, this policy applies to that business as well.

Information we collect
You can read the public website without an account. Creating an account or connecting Instagram asks for information we need to run the Service:
- Account details: name, email address, hashed password, and workspace name.
- Instagram and Facebook connection details: professional account ID, username, page ID, and the access tokens required to call Meta APIs on your behalf.
- Inbox and comment content that the connected account receives: participant IDs, usernames, message text, media addresses supplied by Meta, reactions, comment text, and hide state.
- Details you collect from your own customers through forms or SMS tools, such as a phone number or answers they type.
- Technical data such as browser type, IP address, and pages visited on our site, used to keep the Service secure and to understand which pages are used.
What we do not keep
We do not download Instagram Story files for permanent storage. Story mentions and story replies are shown from Meta’s temporary media address. When a story expires, the panel shows that it is no longer available.
We do not sell personal information.
Why we use it
- To create and protect your account.
- To connect the Instagram account you authorize and to send the replies, comments, and workflows you configure.
- To show your team the inbox and comment history for accounts you manage.
- To bill paid plans, answer support requests, and keep the Service reliable.
- To meet a legal duty, such as a valid request from Meta or a competent authority.
Instagram permissions are used only for the features you turn on. Basic account permissions identify the professional account. Message permissions power inbox receive and reply. Comment permissions power comment moderation. Page permissions, on the Facebook Login path, are used to list pages, read engagement, and subscribe to webhooks.
Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Who we share it with
We send messages and comment actions to Meta’s APIs so the connected account can reply. We also use infrastructure and email providers who process data only so we can host the Service and contact you. We do not give customer lists to unrelated advertisers.
The website may link to Instagram, payment pages, or other sites you choose. Those sites have their own policies.
How long we keep it
We keep account, inbox, and comment data while the workspace is active and you need it to operate the Service. You can disconnect Instagram in the panel. To delete the workspace, email [email protected] from the account email and ask us to delete it. We then remove conversations, messages, comments, and tokens for that workspace, except for records we must keep to meet a legal obligation or to resolve a dispute.
People who message a connected Instagram account can also ask for deletion through Meta’s data-deletion callback where that callback is enabled for the app, or by emailing us.
Security
We store data on access-controlled servers and use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the Service. No internet transmission is perfectly secure. Protect the password for your panel account, because anyone with that password can see the connected inbox.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Continued use of the Service after the new date means you accept the updated policy. We will not use information already collected for a materially new purpose without telling you.
